An attention-seeking ITK has quoted himself as a source claiming that Karim Benzema is on the verge of completing a move to Arsenal.

@toptransfer took to Twitter this morning to claim that @toptransfer believes that the Real Madrid striker, who has also attracted the interest of Manchester United, as agreed terms with the Emirates Stadium side, and will arrive in London on Wednesday for a medical.

The desperate ITK wrote: ‘@Benzema spotted at Madrid Barajas Airport en route to @Arsenal for medical #firstfortransfers‘, accompanying the message with a three-year-old image of the French player waiting in the check-in line of what appeared to in actuality be Luton Airport.

Other rumours invented by @toptransfer, who is believed to be a fifteen year old boy living in Dunstable who has recently discovered the term ‘clickbait’, has included Tottenham Hotspur’s impending move for ageing Queens Park Rangers defender Clint Hill, Luton Town’s 1990’s Kohlerdome dream finally being given the green light, and Chelsea bidding £30 million for Everton’s John Stones, which was later picked up and taken for real by most of the British mainstream press, despite it being clearly the invention of a lonely teenager desperately seeking friends.
